Patrícia Fragoso Martins is an Assistant Professor at the Faculty of Law of the Universidade Católica Portuguesa, the institution where she graduated, obtained a Master's degree and later a PhD in European Union Law from the Católica Global School of Law. She also has an LL.M. in European Union Law from the King's College London School of Law, and was Visiting Researcher at Columbia University School of Law. She is a researcher at the Católica Research Center for the Future of Law, teaching and researching mainly in the areas of European Union Law, International Law, Fundamental Rights and Case Method. She is the author of several publications in these areas. She was also a member of the Coordination Committee and Executive Administrator of the Católica Research Center for the Future of Law, and Executive Coordinator of the Arbitral Center of the Universidade Católica Portuguesa. Outside of UCP, she is a lawyer and was a consultant at the Campos Ferreira, Sá Carneiro e Associados, responsible for the European and Competition practice area, until 2019. She was also, until 2022, deputy of the Ombudsman's office and is currently Vice-Dean of the Lisbon School of Law, Universidade Católica Portuguesa.
